Saw this pop up in an auction listing and had to share it!

I’m calling it “folk art” but it seems this wooden camera sculpture was created as a sign to be hung outside a camera shop back in the early 1900’s. It’s from the collection of a noted collector, and early bidding on this piece is already close to USD $400 and climbing. I’ve seen unique items like this go for $1000 or more!

Almost makes me want to pop a real lens into the fake front, add a film holder on the false back, peer through the non-working viewfinder, and try to capture something…
